The Aurora Expedition is made in comfort by bus. On the way, we stop to take photos at the rugged Lake Ukonjärvi, which was believed to be the home of Ukko the Overgod by the ancient Laplanders. From there, we move on to the Aurora Camp on the shore of the lake. In the camp, we warm up in a cozy hut by the fire, enjoy a warming drink while waiting for the Northern Lights to appear on the horizon. • Fun hike with furry companions. Energetic and friendly Siberian huskies pull you along a scenic trail into the wilderness. On this hike, you will learn a lot about arctic wildlife and plants. The nature by the route is clean, peaceful and quiet. You can pick and eat some fresh berries and take a drink straight from a mountain stream. The dogs are tied to a waist belt. You can choose to walk with or without a dog partner. Moderate climb, intermediate difficulty.
